Pricing & Policy

Below are the available learning plans, followed by my personal policy regarding lessons and contact. All prices are in Canadian dollars. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, or Interac e-Transfer. Payment is required prior to the first lesson.

Posted prices are subject to change. Those currently enrolled will be notified of price changes as they occur, and will not be effected until the following session.

Back-to-back sessions are eligible for discounts, and active students will receive priority for next month's enrolment.

All plans are month-to-month. While progress man be seen in as little as two weeks, it takes time to adapt lesson delivery to each student. Four weeks offers a much clearer look at the results of the tutoring.

Available Plans

Screening Only

$120

A session of up to one hour where myself and the student will complete the QPS, Past-R, DIBELS, and Words Their Way spelling inventory. This will include a short report of the student's general abilities and struggles as well as a comparison to the average at their age/level. This service is included in all other plans as the first lesson.

3 Weekly Lessons

$350

This includes 2 screening sessions (the first and last session of the term) and 10 regular sessions over the course of four weeks. Days of the week and times of day are subject to availability.

4 Weekly Lessons

$450

This includes 2 screening sessions (the first and last session of the term) and 14 regular sessions over the course of four weeks. Days of the week and times of day are subject to availability.

5 Weekly Lessons (July & August Only)

$550

This includes 2 screening sessions (the first and last session of the term) and 18 regular sessions over the course of four weeks. Days of the week and times of day are subject to availability.

Policies:

Attendance Policy:

Students will be expected to be present five minutes before the start of a lesson. This is to ensure technical difficulties do not take away from the allotted lesson time.
If I receive at least 24 hours notice that a student cannot attend a lesson, we can reschedule that lesson at a mutually convenient time. I will also provide 24 hours notice if I have to reschedule a lesson for any reason.
With less than 24 hours notice of an absence, I will still attempt to schedule a makeup lesson, but make no guarantees that one will be available.
If I am given less than 3 hours notice, including no notice at all, then that particular lesson will not be reimbursed.

Payment Policy:

All payment is to be made before the first lesson. Lessons will not begin until payment is made.
A bounced cheque may result in suspended lessons.
If either party wishes to discontinue lessons for any reason mid-session, a partial refund can be discussed.

Additional Policies:

I aim to respond to all messages within 24 hours. Repeated attempts will not improve the speed of my response.
I do not teach students younger than 5 years of age.
I reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.
